An Update on the Precautions We're Taking During the COVID-19 Pandemic

To all our valued customers of Green Cleaning of Newburyport:

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff. We are closely monitoring and following the CDC cleaning recommendations and thoroughly disinfect your home or business while wearing masks and gloves that we provide our staff.

Green Cleaning of Newburyport wants to provide their customers with a few assurances, which we are taking to provide a safe and clean environment for our customers:

  • Staff have been asked to stay at home if they are showing flu-like symptoms.

  • Staff are required to take their temperature everyday.

  • If any staff member has a fever, they will not be allowed back to work until they have been fever free for at least 24 hours.

  • We are asking customers to advise us if they have any symptoms of the virus such as fever or cough in order to keep our staff and their families safe.

  • We are asking customers to advise us if they have traveled within the last 2 weeks or have upcoming travel plans.

In regard to your cleanings and how they can be helpful during this scary time, please remember that Green Cleaning of Newburyport sanitizes your home at each cleaning. Sanitizing is meant to make something clean and healthy and will kill 99.9% of the bacteria in your home. In general, sanitizing is preferred, because many of bacteria left behind are harmless to people; and exposure to germs can help to bolster your immune system, reducing the chance you’ll get sick later.

Disinfecting a surface will kill the microorganisms, pathogens and bacteria at 100% (unfortunately, while also killing the good bacteria). Given the pandemic that’s currently afflicting the world, we are offering our clients the option to have us disinfect your surfaces, as part of your regular cleaning.

Other considerations for daily practices at home:

  • Wash your hands often, with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow, not your hands.

  • Do not shake hands with others.

  • If soap and water are NOT readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces like tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets and sinks.
